Doesn't give much for K-12 teachers. More geared to trainers and instructional designers in industry. Also, it could be better organized. Last, but most importantly. I bought this online version because I needed it FAST. I then bought an older version of the text (5th) (paper) and found that it was almost identical for a fraction of the price.
This was not a textbook, but a pile of papers! So expensive and literally fell apart when I opened it... had to buy a binder to put the pages in.
Recommended text for my graduate course. I found the read to be written with a higher-level verbiage than what was necessary. As a result, it made for a long read although the content was important for instructional design.
I had to purchase this for a graduate class. It is a great reference for my field. I am glad I purchased it. It was a good investment.
Please note the Textbooks Designing Effective Instruction I received on December 4, 2018 was damaged. Pages are torn on the front cover and on the top ridges of the book as well. Regards, Gloria RhodesThis is book is being returned because the Professor decided to use another book.
